Day 4. - Trusting God with the Battle

This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15 NIV)

Today, I want you to focus on letting go of the fight and the battle. Embrace praise, trusting that God will go to battle on your behalf. Are you seeking His help as you fight this battle?

When we sing songs of worship, we proclaim out loud the battle belongs to the Lord.

Meditate on the following lyrics by Phil Wickham:

“Battle Belongs”

When all I see is the battle, you see my victory

When all I see is the mountain,

You see a mountain moved.

And as I walk through the shadow

Your love surrounds me

There’s nothing to fear now for I am safe with you.

So when I fight, I’ll fight on my knees

With my hands lifted high

Oh God, the battle belongs to you

And every fear I lay at your feet

I’ll sing through the night

Oh God, the battle belongs to you.

Prayer: Thank you Lord that according to Psalm 42:8 , you will command your lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night your song shall be with me – a prayer to you God of my life. Amen.
