Day 6 He is Faithful

What is the oldest thing you own? How long have you had it, and what does it mean to you? Whether it is a decades-old diamond ring, a twenty-year-old car, or a tattered baby blanket hanging together by threads, you probably know it won’t last forever.

How about your longest relationship? How many years have you been connected to this person through the good and the bad? One way we decide where to place our faith is longevity.  History matters. You can carry on faithfulness of the generations even as you go about your day. Take Jesus with you in your heart and actions. Let your actions of faithfulness and consistency to Him shine forth, so that others can witness your faithfulness to Him is a direct result of His faithfulness and consistency to you.

Appearing In the photograph above, is the well known geyser, Old Faithful, located in Yellowstone National Park. It is one of nearly 500 geysers in Yellowstone and one of six that park rangers currently predict. Currently, the geyser erupts around 20 times a day. These eruptions are predicted with a 90 percent confidence rate. What an excellent for the Lord to reveal his characteristics in nature. However, with Old Faithful having a predictability of 90 percent, it is in no comparison to the faithfulness of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your faithfulness. We are so grateful that you never get tired of us as humans. Your love and mercy endureth forever. Even when we are faithless, you remain faithful. The Bible states that you knew us even before we were formed in our mother’s womb and your consistency and faithfulness toward us goes beyond our finite thinking. Thank you that your faithfulness extends and flows from one generation to the next. Jesus, we love you. Amen.

You are faithful, oh so faithful,

what a priviledge and honor to worship at your throne

to be called into your presence as your own” (worship lyrics).
