Advertisers know your secret. They know that the sight of a lost puppy, a starving child, or a grieving mother tugs at something deep inside your heart, giving you a powerful desire to do something to help relieve their pain or crisis. They are counting on it.
When we accepted Christ, and He gave us His Holy Spirit, we became aware of His heart, His love, His character and His Holy presence. However, we specifically became aware of His passion to save and deliver humankind. The more we are in tune with Him, the more we can sense Him tugging at our hearts to move more compassionately and lovingly towards others.
Prayer: Lord through the power of your precious spirit, release the capacity for us to genuinely love others. Lord we give ourselves to you to fulfill your purpose of allowing others to sense your love through our heartfelt compassion. Amen
