Prayer Focus:

World Revival

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” (Acts 3:19 KJV)

Revival in the Land

“Repent, therefore and reform your lives, so that the record of your sins may be cancelled, and that there may come seasons of revival from the Lord” (WEY).

The Great Awakening, the Toronto Blessing, The Jesus Movement, and the Brownsville revival are just a few instances in which there have been a modern-day outpouring of God’s transformative power.

“In both the First and Second Great Awakenings” in America, within the eighteenth and ninetenth centuries, massive numbers of people came to the Lord as the result of an unusual measure of the power of conviction on the preaching of the Word. We have seen the role of the Spirit of prayer played in releasing this power”(Mike Bickle).

It is honorable to pray for our own churches and prayer communities; however, there is something even greater, which is prayers to revive our nation and ultimately the world.

This week, let us believe and pray for a fresh outpouring on the earth so that many will be empowered and passionate to grow in ministry and to cultivate faithfulness to our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray and trust that we will be positioned and ready to experience a greater awarness of God’s presence that will be unleashed upon the earth.
